Site Manager Jobs
What does a site manager do?
A site manager, or construction manager or site supervisor, oversees all activities and operations which are scheduled during a construction or engineering project. Their role is in keeping all work to a deadline and within budget while achieving the objectives set out by the core stakeholders. This means it is a balancing act of keeping an eye on each team involved in the project to make sure everything is going according to plan but also liasing with the client and ensuring their needs are met.
Site manager qualifications and salary
A site manager, in order to be hired, would require a reasonable amount of experience working on construction sites before being taken seriously, though a degree in a related field would also be of benefit. A site manager's salary averages out at between £35,000 and £45,000 per annum, depending on previous experience, the employer and the complexity of the project.
